Day 01 – Arrival in Bangalore

 

Get in touch with The Real Asia DMC representative upon arrival and transfer to a hotel. Here a representative at the hotel would help you in completing the necessary procedures for check-in.
Begin with your half day city tour of Bangalore after lunch. The first place to visit in the schedule is the ‘Bull Temple’ otherwise known as the Nandi Temple. With a primarily Dravidian architectural style, this temple was built by Kempe Gowda and is a major attraction of devotees of Lord Shiva. The next stop would the ‘Tipu Palace’ which served as the abode for one of the renowned rulers of Mysore- Tipu Sultan. The ornamental frescoes, prominent balconies,and motifs, as well as opulent arches, make this destination a treat for the eyes. After here, the tour would move towards Lalbagh Botanical Garden which is just the right place for you if you have a knack for photography in the lap of nature. Day 02 – Bangalore – Mysore Via Srirangapatna

 

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel and check out. The tour would now proceed towards Mysore by driving. On the way, the tour would make a halt at Srirangapattinam otherwise known as Srirangapatna. Have a glimpse of the egg-shaped island town and visit the Srirangapatna Fort and the Ranganathaswamy temple which is one of the major attractions of the town.
After completing the tour of Srirangapatna, continue with the drive to Mysore and check in to the hotel. Complete the rest of the day with visits to notable attractions of Mysore such as the Mysore Palace, St. Philomena’s Church, Chamundi Hills and the Chamundeshwari temple located atop the hills. Day 03 – Ranganatittu Bird Sanctuary- Somnathpur-Hassan

 

Check out of the hotel after finishing breakfast and start for a day’s tour of the Ranganatittu Bird Sanctuary. Known as one of the renowned tourist attractions in Mysore, Ranganatittu Bird Sanctuary spans almost 57 hectares of land and houses six small islands on the River Cauvery. A boat ride through the sanctuary would be arranged for having a closer look at the different species of birds and reptiles. The fauna in the sanctuary includes the white ibis, painted stork, open-billed and spoon-billed storks, herons, egrets, cormorants, marsh crocodiles, bonnet macaques,and many other attractions.
On the way, the tour would halt at Somnathpur town which is located almost 35km from Mysore on the banks of River Cauvery. This place houses the Prasanna Chennakeshava Temple which exemplifies Hoysala architecture and is a treat for the eyes.

Day 04 – Hassan- Shravanabelagola- Coorg

 

The day starts with a breakfast at the hotel and checks out to proceed towards two of the famous temples of Belur and Halebid which are exemplars of 12th century Hoysala Architecture. Halebid was the capital of the Hoysala Empire and continued for almost 150 years. Belur is located on the banks of the river Yagachi and despite being at a distance of 16kms from Halebid they are referred to as one because of their significance in south Indian architecture.
Continue with the tour to reach Shravanabelagola at a distance of 50 km from Hassan district. Considered as one of the most popular pilgrimage centers for Jains in South India, Shravanabelagola is noted for the Bahubali statue that is carved out of a single block of granite. The Vindhyagiri Hill and Gomateswara temple are also included in the itinerary for one of the best tour packages in Karnataka.
Then get on the road for a drive to Coorg and checking into a hotel for overnight stay.

Day 05 – Coorg

 

The whole day is dedicated to a tour of the town of Coorg. Known as ‘The Scotland of India,’ Coorg is the best place for nature lovers. The beautiful green hills, coffee plantations,and the misty landscape make the place a worthy addition to Karnataka honeymoon tour packages.
